Conduct Reminder

All spectators should stay in the gyms. Siblings should not be running through the hallways.

GYM RULES

Parents and coaches are responsible for gym rules. Teams risk losing practice time if they cannot comply. Thank you for working together to give our kids a great season!

  • Doors are opened promptly for the first practice, and please be patient if doors are opened 1-2 minutes late. Please do not pound on external gym doors. If the door is opened late consistently, please contact lakeshorebball01@aol.com and we will work with schools.
  • Do not prop exterior doors open - this is a serious security violation at schools and may cause your team to lose their practice time.
  • To limit capacity at buildings, for grades K-5 one parent and no siblings are permitted to attend practice. All spectators must remain in the gym. For grades 6-high school please drop off your child for practice and remain outside of the gym. There is no smoking or tobacco use allowed on school grounds, including outside of gyms and in parking lots.
  • Players and coaches must remain in the gym at all times except for using the bathroom and keep their hands off anything used for school operations, e.g. bulletin/whiteboards, mats, and other equipment. Players using the bathroom should be respectful of the facility so it is clean for students the next day.
  • Teams are responsible for opening the door for the team that follows them. Coaches, please contact coaches practicing at your gym on your night if you are cancelling practice. You are still responsible for making sure the door is opened for following teams by confirming with other coaches or sending a parent to help with the door.
  • Be respectful of one practice ending and another starting. Encourage players waiting to practice to hold basketballs. Wrap up your own practice promptly.
